Support for energy enhancement is provided in Pro Oranges as N,N-Dimethylglycine (DMG), green coffee bean extract, taurine, Asian ginseng, Sensoril® Ashwagandha, and CoQ10. Taurine is abundant in various organs in the human body and demonstrates many diverse biological functions including stabilizing cell membranes, transporting ions, and acting as a neurotransmitter. Taurine has been shown in research studies to increase antioxidative liver enzyme activity. Other research shows that taurine may help normalize cholesterol and triglyceride levels. The methyl donor DMG assists in the biosynthesis of vitamins, hormones, neurotransmitters, antibodies & nucleic acids. DMG was patented over three decades ago for treating systemic inflammatory disease, modulating immune response, and boasts in vitro evidence of antioxidant effects via free radical scavenging activity and enhancement of the endogenous antioxidant defense system. Green coffee bean has received attention for its potential use as a weight loss aid. Both animal and human research has been conducted, showing that green coffee bean extract may help some people with weight loss and reducing abdominal fat. CoQ10 is a free radical scavenger and a naturally occurring cofactor in cellular energy as part of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. It is vital to the production of ATP. Oral supplementation with CoQ10 is reported to improve fatigue and physical performance. CoQ10 levels decrease with aging.

Pro Oranges includes the herbs Asian ginseng and ashwagandha. Asian ginseng (Panax ginseng) has been in use since at least the 1st century C.E. Its many constituents, such as ginsenosides and panaxans, contribute to proposed effects such as supporting immune function, lowering blood sugar, improving libido and enhancing physical and intellectual performance.* Ashwagandha is a relaxing adaptogen utilized to ‘build up’ people who are debilitated from long term stress. Ashwagandha is thought to help in both acute and chronic stress conditions as well as those struggling w/insomnia, inflammatory diseases, anxiety. Sensoril® ashwagandha is a trademarked preparation of the herb standardized to contain 3 bioactive components of ashwagandha: Withanolide glycosides, Withaferin A, and Oligosaccharides). Sensoril® boasts research demonstrating improved upper body strength and favorable distribution of body mass in participants taking the supplement for 12 weeks.
